Scallop senator is one of the most famous shellfish worldwide. The circular scallop shell is lightweight, fragile and weak walls that are on the edge wavelike. Both bowls shells are equally great and the shell is formed with longitudinal ribs, which opens from the top to the rounded edges. In the top of the shell is slightly curved, but toward the orifice narrows. The connection of the two plates (tabs) are different in size. One is short and round caps, the latter is longer and sharper edge. Around the middle of the scallop shells semicircular bar that is the same color as the whole shell, just a shade darker. Scallops swim with the help of springing plates, thereby escaping mortal enemies, which for them starfish.
