Both disc-shaped bowls shell Lucina tiger is very strong, hard and together form a very thick and heavy shell. The uneven surface of the two plates is caused by many prominent longitudinal ribs, which are crossed paprsčitými growth lines. Rounded top shells at the joint plates in white color. Toward the center of the shell is colored light brown with occasional white space at the bottom and the two bowls of purple with a pink tinge. On both plates, roughly halfway shells, two light brown stripes that extend from the top and goes to the mouth scallops, which are gradually disappearing. Obústí shells are lined with dark brown color. The shell can be gently unfold. Tiger Lucine occur on the sand at the coast.
