Pearls
All pearls are considered as the most beautiful accident, that the mother nature created. Ideal pearls are perfectly spheric, and the nacre reflects beautiful colors. These fantastic pearls occur in nature very rarely as all the natural materials. Moreover, of course, the pearls, are beautiful just because of their imperfection.
The formation of natural pearls
Pearls are formed by a small grain of sand reaching the shell. There is concealed an animate being inside every shell, a mollusk. A mollusk takes this grain as an intruder of its hiding place and begins to defend itself by producing calcium carbonate. By the way, shells and seashells are from this compound. However, instead of expelling it out, a mollusk begins this grain of sand wrap up. This process may take several years to create a pearl for which the pearl fishers dive. This pearl-fishing is today rare and also very expensive. It comes mainly from the Persian Gulf or from Australia, where big ships are fishing these pearls with pearl divers.
Pearls in the picture are freshwater pearls coming mostly from China. Pearl jewels show the perfection of each of small pearls, despite the fact that have different shapes. Some are oval, some have a drop shape, and some are rather round shape. These small pearls have a beautiful pinkish color, and these pearls are cultivated or reared on farms. The image in the middle shows the process of forming of pearl in the freshwater pearl mussel, its cut-out is embedded into bijou metal.
River pearls and how they take form
A large part of the pearl production comes from huge farms, where are bred, especially in Japan, China, and Thailand. From the southern and southeast Asia region, where have the pearl mussels the best conditions, comes the largest production of pearls both marine and freshwater. These pearls are formed by inserting a small bead into the pearl mussel, which is after that covered, where is followed the inserted shape. The subsequent perfection of shape can also be like this influenced, since if an inserted bead is round, the subsequent pearl is also round and if oval, an oval pearl is formed.
Jewelry from cultivated pearls are the adornments of every woman. There is no woman in the world, to which does not suit pearls and jewelry from pearls. Pearls are very popular in autumn and winter because they are very suitable for darker clothes. In contrast to black clothing, pearls create an elegant look and are a symbol of high social status and luxury. The great lover of pearls was the English Queen Elizabeth, who wore them not only as jewelry but also as an ornament of very expensive gowns. Since then, it is tradition to have a wedding dress stitched with pearls. Wedding dresses also match the pearls in white, and the pearl earrings are the adornments of every bride.
Natural marine pearls that are not artificially created are very rare, and their price may range from several thousand to tens of thousands of crowns, and the price determines the quality of the pearl, that assesses the size, perfection of the shape, the color of the pearls, the overall surface quality and also the brilliance shine pearls. Thanks to modern technology, experts can recognize the genuine marine pearl from cultivated pearls, but without these technologies, the difference is very complicated to recognize.
It is easier to distinguish the genuine pearl from the artificial, which were produced by known Czech manufacturer of bijou jewelry, Jablonex. The process of distinguishing of artificial and genuine pearls is that two genuine pearls (does not matter whether they are cultivated or not) and rub their surface on themselves, we feel more surface chafing than it is artificial pearls. Besides, natural pearls have a beautiful, typically jingle sound, compared to artificial pearls, which also lack pearl shine.
Why wear pearls?
Pearls in esoteric and healing
Grandmothers used to say that the pearls bring tears. However, with pearls, it is different. The pearls multiply properties that we rather do not show. People who step in front of pearls with pure spirit and conscience then the pearl represents a symbol of purity and spiritual path. The people who have a guilty conscience with bad deeds, then those pearls, repay these deeds. It is very much related to Karma, a symbol of cause and effect in Eastern medicine. In simple terms, do not do to people, what you do not want people to do to you.
