Ammonite is a fossil found at the sites of original Mesozoic seas. It is a fossilized shell of marine animals that are close to today's squid. They got their name Ammonite by likening them to the ancient god Amon, depicted with ram's horns. It is the striking ribbing on the surface of the fossil shell that reminds us of ram's horns, in today's modern times we can compare them to tractor tires. This ammonite has no longer retained surface serrations, but its smooth surface has been opalized by natural processes. Thanks to the polishing of the surface, we can see opalization in places up to red color tones. Ammonites are naturally twisted into a regular spiral, which is a symbol of energy and spiritual growth in many cultures.
